Sandwich-making is a fine art, passed down through generations and everyone has their own preferences.
But one Dublin sandwich making hero appears to be a step above the rest with skills that ultimately pay the bills.
It was Thursday lunchtime when one hungry Dublin lad was in the Northside Shopping Centre and he decided to venture to Subway for a bite.
On his arrival, the female member of staff working at the Subway left him in shock and awe as she "absolutely lashed out" about 15 sandwiches in about five minutes.
And in an effort to give her the props she deserved, he sent out a message on Twitter saying: "Shout out to the girl working in Subway Northside Shopping Centre today. On her own and absolutely lashed out about 15 different subs in about 5 minutes and didn’t have to ask anyone again about what they wanted. I genuinely stood there in amazement. That’s a sandwich artist."
Whether it was by chance or pure fate, the sandwich artist herself, who goes by the name Laura O'Carroll, came upon the tweet and very poignantly pointed out: "Not all heroes wear capes, some wear subway aprons. Was just keeping my fans happy."
And even Subway - via its UK account - saw the brilliance of Laura's talent. They said: "And you thought ALDI checkout workers were impressive."
There's yet to be a response from Subway Ireland - but no doubt they feel the same way!
