Dublin street on high alert after multiple burglaries

A northside Dublin street is on high alert after gardai were alerted to multiple robberies this week.

Brazen thieves struck the quiet Swords community of Castleview Row twice in the span of a night.

The first incident saw a car being stolen from outside a house at around 10 pm on Tuesday night.

Gardai attended the scene and no arrests were made.

A few hours later, a house on the same street was broken into at around 1 am.

Burglars fled the area with stolen items during the incident.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí attended the scene of a burglary that happened outside a domestic premises on Castleview Road, Swords, Co Dublin at approximately 10pm on Tuesday, 21st September 2021.

"A vehicle was taken from the area in the course of this incident.

"Gardaí attended the scene of a burglary that happened in a domestic premises on Castleview Road, Swords, Co Dublin at approximately 1am on Wednesday, 22nd September 2021.

"Some belongings were taken from the premises over the course of the incident.

"No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
