Dublin star Michael Darragh MacAuley appeals for info after car is stolen during Championship match

Michael Darragh MacAuley has appealed for information after his car went missing on Saturday night.

MacAuley was part of the Ballyboden St Enda's squad that defeated Na Fianna 3-15 to 1-15 in a fiery Dublin Senior 1 Football Championship quarter-final over the weekend.

He was the subject of social media ire after the game for a late challenge on Glenn O'Reilly, a tackle that went unpunished.

But the star  Dublin  midfielder's Subaru Forrester, with his laptop inside, has been allegedly taken from Portobello while the 33-year-old was playing.

The former Footballer of the Year took to Twitter to try and get his car back.

"Had my car stolen from Portobello on Saturday night while I was playing a match," MacAuley tweeted.

"Laptop etc. inside. If anyone sees a black 182D Subaru Forrester with Dublin Stickers about, let me know. Not ideal."

Gardai confirmed to Dublin Live that they are investigating the theft of car from St Kevin’s Parade in Dublin that took place on Saturday.

The investigation, conducted by Gardai in Kevin Street, is ongoing.
