A Dublin speed dating event is taking place this weekend for those in their 40s looking for love.
2Connect.ie, an Irish owned dating company, is encouraging people to get offline and get their dating life started in real life.
The event will be hosted at the 51 Bar on Haddington Road and is specifically for all eligible singles in the 45-55 age group. You could go on up to eight dates in one night at this fun evening out.
The description reads: “Come with a smile and an open mind. Don’t come with a list of job interview questions and an engagement ring just in case. When you arrive, our lovely host will welcome you and sign you in.
“Your badge will match a table in the room and usually the ladies stay seated while the men rotate about every 5 mins when the bell ring a-ding-dings. It's very simple, you just mark the dates you are interested in on a card we provide you, hand us the card before you leave, 24 hours later we will send you your matches.
“It's FREE to send/read messages to/from all the guests you have met at the event through our secure website.
“We’re so confident you’ll meet someone you like, that if you don't your next event is FREE! What have you got to lose?”
The event is at 8:00pm this Saturday, 23 July. Tickets are €30.70 and you can buy them here.
