Dublin Simon Community takes to Grafton Street for annual Carolathon

The Dublin Simon Community has taken to the streets of the capital as part of its annual 24-hour Carolathon event.

The homeless charity's carolling event runs from 11am to 12.30am today, Friday 20 December and then again from 8am to 6.30pm on Saturday 21 December.

They are located outside Dunnes Stores on Grafton Street, and there's going to be loads of festive cheer for Christmas shoppers.

It was launched today by none other than veteran broadcaster Marty Morrissey and the stars of the Gaiety Panto 'Aladdin'.

Taking part in the event are the Lucan Gospel Choir, High Hopes Choir, Chorus Choir and musical volunteers from community groups.

If you're in the city centre, make sure to head to Grafton Street to enjoy the entertainment. Donations to help the work of the Simon Community can also be made to volunteers on site.
