Dublin set to get its first 'glass box' restaurant at Point Village

Dublin is to get its first 'glass box' restaurant, a 3,832 square foot glass building in The Point Village.

Property advisors Savills and CBRE are now looking for interested restaurant operators to take over the space and convert it into what they wish for the restaurant.

Initial imaging plans for the building show that it will have four walls made of glass, with wooden floors and metallic framing.

It's not the only exciting project under construction in the Point Village, with the ‘Exo Building’ and ‘North Dock’ office blocks – both due for completion in 2020 - in the immediate vicinity.

This is in addition to the 241 room Beckett Locke apart-hotel which is also due for completion in next year.

A spokesperson for Savills outlined the potential the area holds, saying: "Point Square has an immediate population catchment area of more than 115,000.

"With plans under way for the addition of 5,000 new residential units, student accommodation and office developments, this figure is likely to grow significantly in the coming years.

"With such a rapidly growing local population of office workers and apartment dwellers, the opportunity at Point Square for restaurant operators is a rare one."
