Dublin Senior Football Championship clash postponed after Raheny player tests positive for Covid-19

The Dublin Senior Football Championship between Raheny and St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh has been postponed after a Raheny player tested positive for Covid-19.

Dublin GAA confirmed the news on Saturday afternoon and added that Sunday's clash between Castleknock and Kilacud Crokes will now take place at Parnell Park.

Confirming the cancellation, Dublin GAA said on Facebook: "Raheny GAA Club’s Dublin Senior 1 Football Championship game against St. Oliver Plunkett Eoghan Ruadh GAA Club scheduled for tomorrow is postponed, as a Raheny player has tested positive for Covid-19.

"Tomorrow’s game between Castleknock Hurling & Football Club & Kilmacud Crokes GAA Club has now been moved to Parnell Park, with deferred coverage on TG4."

The clash between Raheny and St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh was due to take place on Sunday, but will now be rescheduled for a later date.

Both sides are still aiming to qualify from their group, with St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh needing a win over Raheny and a Kilmacud Crokes victory over Castleknock.
