A Dublin sculptor recently created a piece to remember and honour poet Winifred Mary Letts who was buried in an unmarked grave.
The writer was originally from England but fell in love with Dublin during childhood holidays to Knockmaroon. She trained as a masseuse and worked at army camps during World War 1.
Winifred was the second ever woman to have a play accepted by the Abbey Theatre. However, there was little left to remember the wartime poet on her small plot in the Rathcoole church yard.

Tallaght born sculptor Patricia Donnelly made a sculpture to remember the modern thinking writer. She focused on the importance Winifred's hands.
Pat said: "When I read the information, I thought immediately of someone I know who is a physiotherapist - a girl called Maria Smyth. I thought that she would be absolutely ideal. I based it on her hands.
"I probably spent a good fortnight making it. Winifred was a nurse and a masseuse. She did a lot of physical therapy work with the traumatised soldiers who would have had amputated limbs and all other sorts of injuries. When I read her poems, I just thought of my friend Maria."
Local historian Mervyn Ennis originally couldn't find the famous poet's grave, and he was determined for Winifred to be immortalised.
He said: "I came over and couldn't find her name on the plot. Women have been written out of history.
"Now, we can remember."
