A west Dublin school has renamed a number of its incoming classes after Kellie Harrington and Ireland's other Olympic heroes.
Students heading into 1st Year, Transition Year and 5th Year in Blakestown Community College will be part in classes named after the athletes who secured medals at this summer's games in Tokyo.
One of the 5th Year classes will be named after boxing star Harrington while the other two will be named after rowers Paul O'Donovan and Fintan McCarthy, who secured Ireland's other gold medal in the lightweight men's double sculls.
The Transition Year class will bear the name of boxing bronze medallist Aidan Walsh while the 1st Years will be part of classes named after fellow bronze medallists Aifric Keogh, Eimear Lambe, Fiona Murtagh and Emily Hegarty, who came third in the women's four rowing.
The classes were named after the sporting icons as their achievements match the the ambitions to which the school aspirest.
In a statement on Facebook, the college said: "In recognition of their ambition, dedication and success, we are naming our incoming 1st, TY and 5th Year classes after our Olympic heroes:
