Dublin's year is on the line against Galway, admits Chris Crummey

Dublin's year is on the line in their final Leinster SHC game against Galway, and Chris Crummey knows it.

The Lucan Sarsfields man knows that, barring an unlikely sequence of events leaving four teams on five points, Dublin's equation for progression going into the final day is an easy one to solve.

Beat Galway, and the summer continues. Lose, and the sun sets on Mattie Kenny's opening campaign.

But Crummey knows the advantage Dublin have at home in Parnell Park - and he is urging Dublin fans to pack it out and drive them on in two weeks time.

"Parnell probably brings the best out of us, the crowd really gets behind us and it’s definitely an advantage," Crummey told the Irish Mirror.

"We’re really just looking forward to two weeks’ time because we really feel that if we play to our best, there’s no reason why we won’t win.

"Our year is on the line and we know that if we win this game we’re through.

"It’s as simple as that. That’s our sole focus now.

"Hopefully there’ll be a packed Parnell."
