Dublin's best dog-friendly bars and cafes your pup will go barking mad for

Some might argue that dogs are better than people... and they would be absolutely correct.

On that note, if you're the proud owner of a lovable pooch, you might be wondering how to spend some real quality time with your pup.

Although there are probably some great parks and even beaches in your vicinity, Dublin is home to plenty of establishments that are eager to welcome you and your furry friend.

The Duck, Drumcondra

Great coffee, delicious homemade sausage rolls, unreal cakes and some friendly faces who are just buzzing for you and your dog to walk in the door.

Street 66, Parliament Street

One of the quirkiest and liveliest bars in the city, for sure, made even more exciting by the array of pups that are likely to pay a visit.

The Bernard Shaw, Phibsboro

Bodytonic have taken over the former Porterhouse Whitworth at Cross Guns Bridge (Bernard Shaw Facebook page)

Since moving from the southside over to Phibsboro, the Bernard Shaw has brought a new lease of life to the Royal Canal. The doggos have not been displaced, though. If anything, they have been embraced! Mad hipster vibes with your dog by your side.

Johnnie Fox's, Glencullen

Perched upon one of the most scenic viewing points in all of Dublin, it's only natural that the pups and pooches come along for the trip.

The Dog House Blue's Tea Room, Howth

Pure vibes for both you and the doggo.

The Bath Pub, Ringsend

The Bath Pub (Facebook/TheBathPub)

Pints of the good stuff for you. Plenty of rubs and attention for your dog.

Platform 61, South William Street

Platform 61's outdoor terrace (Zoe Hertelendi)

Yes, one of the city's favourite destinations for bottomless brunch welcomes dogs onto their terrace!

Drop Dead Twice, Francis Street

The Taproom at Drop Dead Twice (The Taproom at Drop Dead Twice)

Situated in the cultural heart of Dublin 8, Drop Dead Twice serves up great grub and their head 'barktender' is on hand for his customer service duties.

Lucky's, Francis Street

While you're in the area, you may as well pop in here for delicious pizza from Coke Lane that both you and your dog will adore.

Fourth Corner, Patrick Street

It's becoming clear that Dublin 8 is the place to be for foodies and dog-lovers alike. The gang in Fourth Corner on Patrick Street are sure to give your pooch the best welcome when they trot through the door.

The Barber's Bar, Stoneybatter

Not only will they welcome your dog with open paws. They will even stick a photo of them on their Doggy Wall. Absolutely stellar form.

Two Pups Coffee, Francis Street

The name really says it all.

Network Café, Aungier Street

Great coffee, tasty brunch and good boys.
