Dublin restaurant with 'world's most expensive sandwich' sell out just days after launch in Rathmines

A Dublin restaurant offering one of the most expensive sandwiches not only in Ireland but in the world has confirmed that they have sold out of it just days after it first went on sale.

Hush restaurant in Rathmines announced last week that they would be selling the Wagyu beef sandwiches for €90 a pop which saw demand skyrocket.

The soft Japanese beef was chewed up by hungry eaters who have already left the restaurant with no more for delivery after the four-day rush.

Wagyu beef is described as being a "lavish creation" coming from the "highest standard of meat".

The restaurant admit it's not for the everyday lunchers but one for those who love food and want "the most astounding eating experiences".

Before they confirmed that the decadence was sold out, Hush said: "Calling all meat-fanatics and foodies, for the fanciest sandwich you’ll ever eat.

"Wagyu has come to Hush, grade A5 beef to be precise. It’s so tender it melts in your mouth. Kept simple with crispy fried white bread, an asian based dressing and the wagyu, cooked traditionally, is breadcrumbed and fried.

"OK we know it’s a bit extra, but sometimes you just gotta try life’s finest delicacies.

"Now we all know wagyu is [expensive], unfortunately, we can’t change this until we raise and massage our own Japanese cows -This guy comes in at €90.

"Not one for the average Joe, but for anyone dying to have a unique foodie experience, we applaud you and we can’t wait to hear from you."
