Dublin residents warned as 'suspicious' creep spotted targeting and terrorising homeowner with weird request

Residents have been warned about "suspicious activity" in their area after a creep was spotted targeting and terrorising a homeowner in south Dublin and using a weird request when approached.

The young man, who is described as being of slim build and about 6ft tall, was wearing a baseball cap and dark clothes when he climbed over a garden wall on Turret Road in Palmerstown at 5:20pm.

He is believed to have jumped the garden gate and when spotted and confronted by the homeowner, he asked them if he could go to the toilet.

The homeowner refused him entry citing "Covid concerns" but when he persisted, he was ran from the property.

A message alert sent around to other nearby residents informed them about the fishy situation and advising them to call the Gardai if they spotted similar incidents.

It said: "Please keep an eye on your neighbours and their property.

"Report all suspicious activity to Gardai in Ballyfermot on 01-6667200 or Ronanstown on 01-6667700.

They added: "He was not seen entering any other property."
