Dublin raid sees three men arrested as huge amount of drugs, scramblers, scooters and boats seized

Gardai have carried out a raid in Dublin that saw three men arrested as €681k worth of drugs and multiple scramblers, scooters and boats seized.

The sting was carried out at an address at Dublin 1 earlier today at around 3.30pm. It was a part of an investigation into the sale and supply of drugs and anti-social behaviour in the area.

Three men, aged in their 20s, were arrested at the scene and taken to Store Street Garda Station where they are currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. Investigations continue into the sting which was part of Operation Tara that targets drug trafficking networks at all levels.

A garda spokeswoman said: "During the course of the search Gardaí seized cannabis herb with an estimated value of €652,000, cannabis resin with an estimated value of €25,000 and cocaine with an estimated value of €4,000. The combined estimated value of drugs seized is €681,000; the drugs will now be sent for analysis.

"Gardaí also seized 12 scrambler motorcycles, 3 electric scooters and 2 speed boats during the search operation."
