Dublin Pubs: The Black Forge Inn shuts kitchen over Covid close contact fears

A popular Dublin pub has decided to close its kitchen after a close contact with a positive test for Covid-19.

The Black Forge Inn's kitchen will remain closed until next Tuesday, January 11.

Taking to social media, they announced: "Unfortunately due to being informed of a close contact with a positive Covid test, we have taken the decision to close our kitchen until next Tuesday 11 January to ensure the safety of both our staff and customers.

"The bar will remain open daily until 8pm.

"We are sorry for any inconvenience."

The Black Forge Inn was bought by UFC star Conor McGregor for €2 million before spending another €1 million on renovations, with the pub opening its doors earlier this year.

He has been spotted at the pub a number of times in recent months and enjoyed festive drinks at the Crumlin venue with his finacee Dee Devlin shortly before Christmas.
