Pygmalion on Dublin's South William Street wants to show its appreciation for Ireland's healthcare workers by offering them a special discount on food and drinks.
The popular cocktail bar has introduced a special €20 discount for those who have been working in the Irish healthcare sector throughout the pandemic on bills more than €100.
The venue wrote on social media: "Pyg, Little Pyg and Pyg Lane are going to offer a €20 discount for all health care workers to show our appreciation."
They ask anyone who is a healthcare worker to bring their staff ID to avail of the discount, which will be available to them until March 14th.
Speaking to Dublin Live about the offer, booker at Pygmalion Colin Perkins said: "We felt it was important to reach out to our medical professionals and students who have worked so tirelessly. We feel they're often under appreciated.
"It was great to see them offered a bonus by Government this week.
"Obviously things have been tough for the hospitality industry and we'd like to be in a position to offer more. This is a just a small gesture to say thank you for their work throughout the pandemic."
Pygmalion is known for its cocktails and Dj nights, and in recent years also opened Little Pyg, a dedicated space serving pizza and 'Pygtails'.
