Dublin pubs: Number of capital city bars confirm reopening plans after 18 months shut

Four more Dublin pubs are confirmed to be reopening for the first time since March 2020.

It's been a traumatic last 18 months for the entire pub industry, and a number of pubs around Dublin have yet to reopen.

But thankfully, most of the remaining closed pubs are beginning to open the shutters, starting with The Old Royal Oak in Kilmainham.

The Old Royal Oak was open for a short time last year in the summer, but this time it's a full reopening starting at 5pm today, September 29.

Next up is The Lark Inn on Meath Street.

It's been a harder 18 months than most for the owners of The Lark Inn.

Just as Covid shut down the entire pub industry, a section of the roof of The Lark Inn collapsed.

Thankfully, The Lark Inn is set to reopen its doors on Thursday, September 30 from 12 pm. Covid certs will be needed for entry until all restrictions are lifted on October 22.

One of the most popular live music spots in the capital, Sin É, is also to reopen at the beginning of October and have announced an entire month of live shows starting on October 1.

And finally, after great demand, the Bottom of the Hill in Finglas is reopening on October 21.
