Dublin pubs are offering free pints in exchange for non-recyclable plastic

The idea of free drink is something that a lot of people will find very hard to pass up on.

So, you'll be happy to know that The Bernard Shaw and The Lighthouse are willing to pull some pints for zilch in exchange for a rather bizarre request.

All that these pubs are asking for in return is that you donate some of your non-recyclable plastic to them.

Yes, you heard right.

The people at Beatyard have decided to start "building stuff" out of the plastic and even posted a picture of a DJ riser that they had made from their "EcoBricks".

The post admitted that the creation of the DJ riser was a "work in progress" but something that "will be used for years to come".

They added: "If you make one yourself we will exchange it for a pint in The Bernard Shaw or The Lighthouse.

"Non recyclable plastic is terrible, but this is better than it ending up in a landfill.

You can find more details about collecting some sweet, sweet free beer on their website here .
