A Dublin pub is offering a 20 per cent discount to customers that wear coats inside to cut back on their heating costs.
Doyle's Corner in Phibsborough is offering a 20 per cent discount to customers that wear their coats into the pub when the heating is turned down every Tuesday. The discount is applicable to a table's food order.
They posted: "So now there is a chill in the air with a bag of coal gone from €16 a bag to €33 we thought now might be a good time to launch our new Tuesday promo. Bring yer coat and get 20 per cent off your food bill. Book a table."

Doyle's aren't the first pub to slam rising heating costs with many taking to social media to document their struggles. Staff in Oscar’s Cafe Bar in Smithfield were left perplexed when a customer brought an extension to their table to charge multiple devices.
Ronan Flood told Newstalk that he could not understand the excessive use of energy during a cost of living crisis. He said: “It was a bit much bringing in the extension lead. It grated on us, particularly as our electricity bill had just come in that morning.
"We’re spending our days telling our staff to turn lights off in the kitchen. People just need to use common sense in instances like these.”
