A popular Dublin pub has hilariously snapped back at a "kip" review about its staff and atmosphere on Google.
The reviewer, Anthony, visited Doyle's Corner in Phibsborough recently but was not impressed and advised fellow revellers to "avoid".
He said: "Absolute kip all round. Staff were rude and the portions of food were very small" adding that the "atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired".
The pub said it was their first negative review in years so Doyle's decided to respond to the complaint in brilliant fashion.
They said: "Hi Anthony. Thanks for your feedback. I have only 1% left on my battery so will use this opportun..."
The hilarious reply suddenly ends mid-sentence after the pub spokesperson said that their phone was about to go dead.
There was mixed opinions about the review as well as the pub's reply.
One person said: "Maybe the person just had a really bad experience? Might be advisable to take bad reviews on the chin and move on, regardless of how badly worded they are.
They added: "Everyone gets them. The initial response to the comment is petty and doesn’t come across well at all."
But another commenter could see the pub's point saying: "Theres always someone looking for something free, thinking the world owes them something."
