A North Dublin post office was robbed on Monday after two men allegedly stormed a shopping centre with machine guns.
The Post Office in the Kilbarrack Shopping Centre was the target of the daring raid at around 4.30pm.
The alleged pair got their hands on a sum of cash before fleeing the scene, and Gardai say no arrests have been made yet, Dublin Live reports.
A Garda spokesmane: "Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a post office in Kilbarrack this afternoon, Monday 27 July at approximately 4:30pm.
"A sum of cash was taken during the incident.
"No arrests have been made, investigations ongoing."
Dublin Live have contacted An Post for comment.
This is not the first time this post office has been targeted.
Last October, a man in his 30s was arrested after a hold-up took place at the Post Office.
It is alleged that the Postmaster was attacked during the incident before the thieves fled the scene in a car.
An Post said that the incident was currently being dealt with by the Gardai and no further comment would be made at this time.
