Dublin Port to get rapid Covid testing facility

A rapid Covid testing facility will be launched at Dublin Port for lorry drivers bound for France.

The French Government has announced that a negative antigen test result is mandatory for all lorry drivers arriving in the country from today.

The tests will be free at several locations near Dublin Port and the full details of the locations will be revealed tomorrow.

RocDoc Chief Executive, David Rock, said: ‘’We have been working extremely hard with the Department of Transport on this in preparation for the French Government’s decision, which has been expected for the past week.

"Our priority is to provide a highly efficient service to ensure that hauliers can quickly and safely through our testing facilities and minimise any disruption to their journeys.’’

David Rock added: ‘’The tests will be free to all HGV drivers and the test can be booked online.

"We strongly recommend booking well in advance to ensure you can get the test quickly and continue on your journey.’’
