Dublin phone shop owner's anger and confusion as store with 'similar name and logo' opens up across road

A Dublin phone shop owner is off the dial with rage after a competitor with a "similar name and logo" opened up right across the road from his store.

Mr iPhone on Clanbrassil Street has long been the go-to place for punters with smashed or problematic phones or even just those looking for a new cover or other mobile accessory.

But their normally cool and calm businessman has blown his lid after an almost identical phone store opened up directly across from his.

The Mr iPhone operator expressed his anger and confusion and told his regular visitors that the new twin store was no way connected to his long-standing shop.

He warned: "Dear valued customers, thank you for all your support and trust.

"There is a new shop that has opened across the road from us.

"It is using a similar logo and a similar name to our shop.

"Mr iPhone takes no responsibility if you deal with these guys or if you go there by mistake.

"Our shop is opposite the traffic lights and is next door to Leonard’s Corner pub - 2 Upper Clanbrassil Street."

Any doubts that Mr iPhone had that his customers may stray was soon squashed when a number of regulars came out in support stating that they would never look anywhere else, no matter how identical it was.

One person called it the "best around and best in business" while another added "you always look after your customers" and a third confidently said "I wouldn't go anywhere else".
