Dublin mum's weight loss miracle shedding whopping five stone through hypnosis

A mum told how hypnosis has helped her shed five stone after struggling to lose weight her entire life.

Dubliner Orla Connolly said quitting bread and wine also helped drop pounds.

The 42-year-old told Dublin Live: “For as long as I can remember I’ve always had a weight problem. I’ve done every slimming club in the world.

Last year when we went into the first lockdown the weight just piled back on.

“I wasn’t doing much exercise, working from home and eating a lot of takeaways.”

However, a trip to Greece last year was the wake-up call Orla needed.

She said: “There was no time for a quick-fix diet, I felt so uncomfortable when I was away. When I was there my brother said he’d heard about this D4 clinic so I made an appointment to see Jason when I got home.

“The day I started with Jason at the end of September I had hit 16 stone and by Christmas I was down three stone. I’m now 11 stone, I’ve lost five stone since starting with him.

“Since Christmas it’s been a pound here or there but I’ve been consistently losing weight. I listen to my hypnosis recording every day.

“When I started the hypnosis, I gave up drink for 12 weeks so it really came off.

“I started having the odd glass of wine here and there so I noticed the weight wasn’t moving.”

Orla explained how she was turned off wine through the power of hypnosis.

She said: “When I went back to Jason last time he hypnotised me into thinking I don’t like wine anymore.

“It’s just in my head, he’s hypnotised me to think every time I have a glass of wine, it’s the slop tray out of a bar. So I just haven’t bought wine, hypnosis has given me a totally different mind set.

“I’d go to Penneys and I’d be looking for a size 20 and there’d never be anything nice left. It was hard going out, you’d feel like you were wearing a tent.

“Before hypnosis and losing the weight, I couldn’t walk. My daughter got a dog for her birthday and now I bring him out for a 10k walk most days.”
