Dublin motorist has lucky escape after car gets wedged under truck on M50

A Dublin motorist had a lucky escape after their car collided with a truck on the M50 this morning.

The car was travelling near the Ballymun junction on the motorway when the incident took place.

The car's engine became wedged underneath the truck in the collision.

Emergency services raced to the scene with Dublin Fire Brigade later confirming there were no one had suffered any "serious injuries" in the crash.

 

DFB tweeted: "Visits to the @M50Dublin to attend RTCs are a daily occurrence for our Firefighter/Paramedics.

"This morning, Finglas crews attended this RTC at the Ballymun junction.

"No significant injuries, however the engine was wedged under the truck making moving the vehicles difficult."
