A motorist has been arrested after being caught speeding while on cocaine.
They were stopped at a garda checkpoint on the M4 for excessive speed.
The driver was arrested by Naas Roads Policing Unit after a drugs test found cocaine in their system.
They will be taken to court.
A garda spokesperson said: “Naas Roads Policing Unit stopped this motorist at a checkpoint on M4 for excessive speed.
“Gardaí became suspicious with drivers behaviour and with good reason, the driver tested positive for cocaine. Driver arrested court to follow.!
