Dublin model Nadia Forde's Oscar de la Renta wedding dress cost almost €10,000

Model Nadia Forde allegedly splashed out almost €10,000 on her wedding gown.

The Irish beauty said “I do” to Welsh rugby player Dominic Day in a full-sleeve lace Oscar de la Renta number in Puglia, Italy, at the weekend.

The mum-of-one changed into a simple white floor-length frock by Irish designer Synan O’Mahony after the meal.

Taking to her social media the day after, Nadia, 30, said: “Thank you to the team at Oscar de la Renta for working with me on my dream dress.

"And thank you Synan O’Mahony for a gown I could dance barefoot under the stars into married life with my besties.”

An Oscar de la Renta personal shopper said all bridal dresses are made to order, taking four to six months to complete.

The bespoke gowns start at €7,000 and that’s before any alterations or changes are made to the material to suit the bride.

Nadia opted for the classy number from the designer’s spring 2019 bridal collection which featured in Vogue magazine.

But the 30-year-old chose to wear ivory and to lose a thick floral mesh belt the designers initially paired with the gown.

Nadia held her special day in Puglia in tribute to her Italian mum Berenice Paolozzi who passed away four years ago after a battle with cancer.
