Dublin man gets refused 'lifetime supply of Tesco lager' in hilarious but heartbreaking letter that he posted on Twitter

A Dublin man had a lifelong dream shattered on Wednesday when Tesco Ireland refused his request to receive a "life supply" of its lager.

Eoghan Gardiner was left "absolutely devastated" when he was sent a letter in the post from the company who had rejected his plea despite what seems like a very convincing first letter to the supermarket chain.

The Dubliner said that the lager had helped him host "many a whopper session" but sadly, this wasn't enough to help secure, what would surely be, tens of thousands of cans for himself and the lads.

The letter starts with Tesco thanking Eoghan for his continued support.

They say: "We are delighted that Tesco lager has helped you have 'many a whopper session'.

"Additionally, we are glad that you and 'alla the Parmo boys always get Tesco lager whenever there's a gaff' and that the price is to your satisfaction or 'cheap as chips' as you put it yourself while still managing to produce a product of 'proper bleeding quality'."

But despite sending photos of him "and the boys on the piss", Eoghan's endeavor to hook himself up for life were declined.

Tesco added: "Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that we must decline your request for a lifetime supply of Tesco Lager as it is not financially feasible for our company at the moment.

"I've sent the photos that you attached with your initial letter back to you, understanding that 'these photos of me and the boys on the piss' hold a level of sentimental value to you."
