Dublin Ladies Football send warning after number of clubs' Zoom accounts hacked

Dublin Ladies Gaelic Football Association have warned coaches after a number of clubs reported that their Zoom accounts have been hacked.

Clubs have used the online meeting application to conduct remote training, including juvenile sessions.

But Dublin Ladies Football have asked clubs to exercise a high degree of caution while using the application in the future after the breach.

Dublin LGFA tweeted: "Warning! A number of clubs have told us this morning that their Zoom accounts have been hacked. Clubs were using this platform for remote juvenile training sessions.

"PLEASE be careful & maybe consult with someone within your club who has IT knowledge/experience #Zoom".

The online app has seen users boom over the last few weeks as Ireland went into lockdown to battle the spread of coronavirus.

Businesses, friends and sports teams have taken to the Zoom, which now boasts over 200 million daily users.
