Dublin-Kerry combined XV - Our writers pick their starting lineups

It's only a matter of days before this year's All-Ireland final, and it's fair to say that this one has an awful lot more on the line than the Sam Maguire Cup.

In an era-defining clash, Dublin are chasing an unprecedented fifth All-Ireland crown in a row, while their old foe Kerry - the last team to have a crack at such a feat - are the country's last shot at stopping them.

And ahead of the big day, the Irish Mirror Sport team have sat down and carefully crafted together our best combined Dublin and Kerry XV's.

Every team is different, with some drafting six Kerry players and others drafting just five - with defence being the main disagreement between our writers.

Here they are:

Pat Nolan - 10 Dublin & 5 Kerry

Michael Scully - 9 Dublin & 6 Kerry

Gavin Quinn - 9 Dublin & 6 Kerry

Alex Dunne - 10 Dublin & 5 Kerry

Darragh Berry - 9 Dublin & 6 Kerry
