Dublin jobs: Three new-look Lidl stores and 100 jobs coming to Dublin as part of massive €20m investment

Two new Lidl stores and one newly-refurbished shop in Dublin will open their doors this month as part of a massive €20 million investment into the capital.

The new look Baldoyle store, as well as new stores in Lusk and on Talbot Street will all open up in December, with up to 100 new jobs being created.

The Baldoyle store opened last Thursday, the Lusk store will open this Thursday, while the Talbot Street store will open just in time for Christmas on December 16.

This investment is a small part of Lidl's €550 million investment in its Irish operations over the next three years, with 20 new stores being opened and 24 stores being refurbished.

"We are excited to form part of Dublin’s growing suburbs in Baldoyle and Lusk, where the new store sits in a prime location in the newly developed Village Quarter," said a Lidl spokesman.

"Having opened our first Dublin city centre store on Moore St in 2004, we’re also delighted to be opening our 9th central store in the heart of the city and expanding our urban portfolio to the Talbot Street business district.

"With 171 stores in the country and counting, we’re committed to growing our footprint and the overwhelming feedback we’re receiving from Irish shoppers is that they want a Lidl in their town. We look forward to bringing Lidl’s unrivalled value to these communities."
