Dublin jobs: Stripe announces 'hundreds' of new highly-skilled positions on the way for Dublin

Stripe has announced that 'hundreds' of new jobs will be created in Dublin over the next three years.

These new jobs will be in addition to the 1000 jobs announced for Dublin earlier in the year, and the new positions will be focused on software engineering roles.

Stripe was founded by Limerick brothers Patrick and John Collison in 2010 in San Francisco and has hubs in both the US and Dublin.

This latest investment is being supported by IDA Ireland, and while Stripe has yet to confirm the exact number of jobs, the Irish Times is reporting that it will be in the 'hundreds'.

In 2014, Stripe was declared a 'unicorn' which means a privately owned company that is valued at over €1 billion.

Stripe is currently active in 44 countries, and giants like Amazon, Google, and Zoom are all clients of the Irish company.
