Dublin jobs: Popular Liberties jazz pub reopening - and they’re recruiting

A popular pub in the Liberties is set to reopen - and they’re recruiting.

Proudly deemed as the closest pub to the Guinness Storehouse, Arthur's Blues and Jazz Club on Thomas Street is reopening on July 7, and they are in need of some chefs. The well-established venue will pay €50,000 - €70,000 and promise early finishes to those hired.

The venue says it’s the perfect opportunity for chefs to express their creativity. Those interested can email Sean@ArthursPub.ie.

They also have an abundance of acts lined up to perform this month with the Dermot Byrne Trio to perform on July 8, John Quearney and Pat Farrell on July 9 and Jawbone on July 10 with more to be confirmed.

The Liberties Dublin Twitter page shared the news of the reopening, they said: “To Arthur! Delighted to hear that the favourite waterhole and foodie spot on Thomas Street will be reopening on 7th July. We have missed you.”

Back in 2018, Pubs by Dublin rated it as the “location that our fondness for a jar of stout becomes most evident to ourselves.

They said: “Passing the spot where Robert Emmet met his demise on a colonial rope in the name of Irish independence – our sense of historical intrigue shortly finds itself overcome with a sort of Wonka-esque joy as it becomes apparent that to us that we’ve entered that particular area of Dublin that could only be described as The Guinness District.

“Taking full heed and advantage of these surroundings, there sits a pub which serves as a sort of demarcation point heralding the beginning of this district – and suitably enough this pub trades under the name Arthur’s.”
