Dublin jobs: Great news as Microsoft creating 200 exciting positions in €27m investment

Great news emerging today as Microsoft has announced it is creating 200 new highly skilled job positions in Dublin.

The recruitment drive comes following a €27m investment in a new engineering hub near its main campus in Leopardstown.

These jobs will bring the companies total to 2,700 in Ireland with staff employed at both its offices and data centres with 600 engineers employed in Ireland.

New positions include: Software and customer engineering; programme management, product design, user experience and data science.

The lucky applicants will work on developing, deploying and supporting cloud services as well as new technology.

Speaking at the announcement, the Tánaiste Leo Varadkar TD said: "This is great news from Microsoft today. Not only are they creating 200 new jobs, but they are also creating a new €27m Engineering Hub.

"This investment builds on decades of commitment by Microsoft in Ireland and further strengthens the country’s position as a centre for innovation in Europe." 

Cathriona Hallahan, Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland said: "We are delighted to announce the further expansion of our team here in Ireland and the enhancement of our Leopardstown campus.

"Our engineers are driving innovation within the company and our Dublin based team is at the centre of this – developing technology and solutions for customers here in Ireland and around the world. 

"This year we have been forced to change how we live, work and do business with technology keeping us all connected and productive."
