Dublin jobs: Bolt Ireland to expand Dublin office and create 50 new positions

Taxi-hailing and mobility company Bolt Ireland has announced a significant expansion of its Dublin office and 50 new jobs.

They have also committed up to €5million to roll out e-bike operations across Irish cities and towns.

Bolt launched a 100 e-bike rental service in Sligo yesterday and is i"n talks with several other councils".

They say that if all current tender applications are successful, they envisage an additional 50 employees, as well as a significant expansion of its head office facilities in the capital.

Aisling Dunne, Head of Public Policy for Bolt Ireland said: "We have long identified Ireland as having high potential for micromobility and are really excited to back this launch in Sligo with further investment.

"There is persistently high car usage and many journeys across Ireland are very short, falling well below 4 km, so we see sustainable alternatives as having the potential to be a gamechanger.”

You can rent a Bolt e-bike by downloading their app and the the per-minute rental price is €0.15 per minute.
