Dublin is home to Ireland's top five most expensive streets, a new Daft.ie report reveals

Dublin is home to Ireland’s top five most expensive streets, a new report from Daft.ie has revealed.

Coliemore Road in Dalkey has been listed as the most expensive street in the country followed by Ailesbury Road in Ballsbridge.

Park Avenue in Sandymount comes out at number three followed by Palmerstown Road in Rathmines (number four), and Glenart Avenue in Blackrock (number five).

The report also revealed that Dublin 6 is the most expensive market in Ireland with the average asking price of nearly €636,000 followed by South County Dublin (€608,549).

A bungalow in Dalkey is priced at an estimated €1,334,000, a terraced house at €1,055,000, a detached house at €1,229,000, and a semi-detached at €1,161,000.

And an estimated 936 people in Dalkey are believed to be property millionaires.

While the average property in the country was valued at over €260,000, the average home in Dublin was priced at nearly €380,000.

The 2019 report was calculated based primarily on the output of hedonic price regressions, which reveal average property values for particular classes of property.

This can be broken down by period, location and dwelling attribute - such as size or type.
