Dublin is Europe's fifth most expensive place to go clubbing according to a new report

As the home of Copper Face Jacks, it goes without saying that Dublin is one of Europe's premier destinations to go clubbing.

However, it's also one of the priciest, according to a new report.

The European Club Price Index 2019 has revealed our capital is the fifth most expensive city in Europe to go dancing.

Dublin was the only Irish city to make Europe's top 30 cities for clubbing.

The list compares the cost of a night out across the cities based on entry, drinks, taxi and accommodation prices - and Dublin is right at the top of the pile.

According to the figures, clubbers can expect to shell out around €123.55 on an average night out in the capital.

Ibiza comes out as Europe's most expensive place to go clubbing with an average night out will set you back an eye-watering €421.80.

Mykonos in Greece is next (€177.40), followed by Zürich (€147.73) and Amsterdam (€142.62).

At the other end of the scale, Tbilisi, Georgia is the cheapest place in Europe to go clubbing at just €29.37 for a night out.

Bucharest in Romania is next (€34.79) followed by Belgrade (€36.15), Vilnius in Lithuania (€37.30) and Riga in Latvia (€40.65).
