Dublin hotel The Charleville Lodge charges guests for damage after 'episode of Wrestemania' held in room

A Dublin hotel has publicly shamed a stag party who allegedly had "an episode of Wrestlemania" in their room over the weekend.

The Charleville Lodge in Phibsborough say a table, lamp, and cup was broken after a gang booked in for a night recently.

Owner Paul Stenson had charged the card - and also said he'd be taking a fee for the time spent going to the shops to replace all the things that were broken.

Taking to Facebook he said: "Thank you to the stag party in house who must have had an episode of WrestleMania in their room last night.

"We will be charging your card for the broken table, the broken lamp and the broken mug.

"I will also be applying a charge to your card for my time spent driving to the stores to replace these items."

He went on to say he applied the charges before putting up the post, just in case the card got cancelled.

When asked if they informed him of the damage, Stenson said the group went out all day and never said anything about the damage to staff.

It was only after housekeeping went in they saw what had happened.
