Dublin Horse Show 2019 ladies day in pictures as best dressed crowned

Fine fillies were out in force at the Dublin Horse Show Ladies Day.

Ann Marie Dunning, from Co Kildare, came out on top in the style stakes at the RDS and won a €10,000 voucher for Dundrum Town Centre.

Lord Mayor Paul McAuliffe said the horse show is one of the great spectacles of Dublin’s summer.

He added: “Ladies Day is a spectacular day because you get to see all the great Irish fashion. It’s great to see it on display.”

The crowd were also checking out the style choices of Luke Gibbons, from Co Mayo, who was named Best Dressed man.

Gemma Gleeson, from Co Cork, capped off a fine day by landing the Most Creative Hat award while Ailish McIlroy, 43, also turned heads.

She said: “I’m a milliner so I actually designed my headpiece with all the black feathers.”

Denise Curran, from Co Armagh, looked all white as she was a Longines Elegance Is An Attitude winner.

Co Kerry pals Elaine Kelleher and Joanne Murphy told how they went the extra mile to attend the show.

Joanne said: “We leave Kilgarvan in the middle of the night and we get here early. It’s the most fabulous day.”
