Dublin hairdresser reveals the surprising amount of shampoo you should be using when washing your hair

A Dublin hairdresser has revealed how much shampoo you really should be using when washing your hair - and it may surprise you.

Dublin Live was at the opening of the new branch of trendy barber shop The Grafton Barber, which is run my top hair stylist Sabrina Borza.

And while touring the new premises, we asked Sabrina a very important question - how much shampoo should we be using?

While most of us fill our palms up with plenty of shampoo, Sabrina says that's a total waste.

"You just need a pea-size. And then just spread it around," she said.

Barbers and hairdressers have seen a huge blow to business since the pandemic began in 2020, however now that restrictions are lifted, business is thriving once again.

The Grafton Barber has just opened its new salon at the top of Grafton Street, teaming up with Dunnes Stores in Stephen's Green Shopping Centre

The Irish-owned business is run by brothers Hugh and Conor McAllister.

Their dad Hugh Snr opened the first brand in Belfast in 1961 and moved to Dublin to expand in 1974, with the flagship store opening on Grafton Street in 1993.

Sabrina said she's "nervous but excited" to see the new store open.
