Dublin gigs: Foals announce June concert in Fairview Park

British band Foals have announced a Dublin gig that's set to take place this summer.

The concert will be in Fairview Park on June 27 with tickets going on sale Friday, November 19, priced at €49.90.

The band has just released the new single "Wake me up" with a new Foals album due also next year.

Speaking about the new single, Foals frontman, Yannis Philippakis said that the last 18 months of the pandemic played an important role in how the song turned out.

He said: "With Wake me up, I just wanted to write a song about transporting yourself to a better, idyllic situation."

"I think we all had that feeling of the last 18 months being like a weird fever dream that felt surreal but very affecting. I think we all wished we could have woken up somewhere else at various points."

This won't be Foals only show in Ireland in 2022 with the Oxford band set to play at Electric Picnic in September 2022.

Tickets for the Fairview park gig go on sale at 10am, Friday November 19.
