A Dublin cinema has been crowned the best big screen experience in all of Ireland and the UK.
The Stella Cinema in Rathmines has topped Time Out's list of the 50 best cinemas, while two other Dublin screens also made the cut.
The Light House Cinema in Smithfield finished in 15th place, while the Irish Film Institute in Temple Bar is ranked 23rd.
The luxury cinema was praised for its "swish art deco details" and restored original facade.
Katie McCabe from Time Out continues: "Now a cocktail bar serving pisco sours can be found in the old ballroom, and things are pretty upmarket when it comes to the snacks too – we’re talking buttermilk chicken and cinnamon churros – all to be consumed from side tables with their own vintage, low-lit lamps.
"It’s about indulgence not savings – tickets sold by armchair (19 euros), bed, or couch (both 38 euros for two), with cashmere blankets for maximum cosiness.
"Stella has come a long, long way from the days when locals use to know it as ‘the flea house’."
Time Out also decided to rate the world’s most beautiful theatres in the world back in February, with the Stella ranking number 16 in the top 100.
The cinema which reopened back in 2017 was ranked ahead of the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles which has hosted a number of Academy Awards ceremonies in the past.
Pathé Tuschinski in Amsterdam managed to scoop the top spot.
