Dublin gardai renew appeal for witnesses to murder of homeless man in Kilmainham

Gardai have renewed their appeal for witnesses in connection to the murder of a homeless man in Kilmainham.

The body of the Romanian man was discovered in a laneway off Madison Road in the early hours of Monday morning.

It is understood that the victim, a foreign national in his 40s, was attacked and his mobile phone was stolen.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested in relation to the incident, which took place off the South Circular Road at about 1.30 am on Monday morning.

Gardai are looking for anyone who may have been in the areas of South Circular Road/Suir Road junction to the Rialto village area from 9 am on the September 13 to 5.30 am on the September 14.
