Dublin GAA midfielder Brian Fenton leads rendition of 'Happy Birthday' for young super fan at meet and greet in the capital

Dublin midfielder Brian Fenton proved his class last night as he sang 'Happy Birthday' for a teenage fan at a meet and greet event in Parnell Park.

Sarah Cramp, from Lucan, got a wonderful surprise when the Dublin talisman launched into a rendition of the birthday song as the young fan celebrated turning 18.

Sarah's mam Siobhan told Dublin Live that her daughter couldn't have been happier with the superstar serenading her and revealed the teenager has a picture of Fenton set as her phone screensaver.

The proud mother's video shows scores of fans join in the sing-song, with Sarah, who's about the begin sixth year at Confey College in Leixlip, beaming as Fento leads the choir.

Siobhan told Dublin Live: “She adores him - he’s her screensaver. He’s an amazing true gentleman.”

She added that they had been lucky enough to see Brian play his part as Dublin dismantled Mayo at Croke Park on Saturday.

Fento was the driving force as the Boys in Blue reversed a two point halftime deficit to power into the final against Kerry.

The Raheny clubman bagged a goal and a point in the game, and was the dominant force from midfield as Dublin ran riot in the second half.

But it was Brian's generosity - and singing voice - that really won fans' hearts after last night's display.

"I’d just like to say thanks to Brian for being an amazing role model for the young and old of today," Siobhan continued.

"He’s such a gentleman. He was mobbed last night and actually thanked me for my patience for waiting to see him.

“And he made Sarah’s day - she said that him singing to her was the best birthday present ever!"

Let's hope Sarah and Siobhan make it to Croker to watch their hero in next month's final against Kerry.

"We haven't got tickets yet, but we're still hopeful," Siobhan added with a wink.
