Dublin will finally fire up the engines again when they take on old rivals Meath in Division 1 of the Allianz Football League on Saturday, October 17.
Dessie Farrell's side are gunning for sixth All-Ireland title in a row and they will have two league matches to shake off the rust before a straight knockout Championship begins.
On November 1, they will take on Westmeath, with a venue still be decided, in the quarter-finals of the Leinster Championship.
And Dubs fans will hope that all paths then lead to Croke Park and a wintry All-Ireland final on Saturday, December 19.
