Three units of Dublin Fire Brigade were called to battle a blaze in an underground car park fire in East Wall last night after a car went on fire.

Taking to Twitter, Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed that they attended the scene in East Wall last night.

They tweeted: "Firefighters in breathing apparatus entered the car park and quickly extinguished a car that was alight

"Thanks to a prompt and full evacuation no injuries were reported."

The fire is believed to have started in a car left in the car park and firefighters were alerted to the scene by members of the public.

The blaze was quickly brought under control by firefighters.

People are reminded to dial 999 or 112 in an emergency.
