Dublin Fire Brigade working on fire safety deficiencies at 24 apartments in city centre

Dublin Fire Brigade have confirmed that works are taking place at 24 apartments around the city centre.

The works are being conducted on apartment developments to treat fire safety deficiencies.

DFB says that these cases are serious and require fixing as soon as possible.

The works are expected to cost in the region of thousands of euro.

In a statement to Dublin Live, a spokesman for Dublin Fire Brigade said: "Dublin Fire Brigade has the power to ensure that remedial works are undertaken and certified when warranted."

He added: "In the case currently under review we are working with the OMC to ensure that they do remedial works to an agreed timescale.

The names or specific locations of the apartments that are being treated have not been released by the company.
