Dublin Fire Brigade urges caution with Easter BBQs after tackling blazes in Tallaght and Rathfarnam

Dublin Fire Brigade is warning bank holiday barbecuers and hillwalkers to be extra cautious around fire following two forest blazes yesterday in the capital.

The dry, sunny conditions have prompted the Department of Agriculture to issue a Condition Orange Fire Risk warning, which will be in place until Tuesday 23 April.

They tweeted: "There is a Condition Orange Fire Risk warning in place for forest areas.

Just hours before that, they put out a fire close to the notorious Hellfire Club in the Dublin Mountains.

The DFB tweeted: "Firefighters from Rathfarnham fire station are dealing with a gorse wildfire near the Hellfire Club.

"Great weather means fine vegetation is at risk, be aware if you're out in the countryside this BankHolidayWeekend."
