Dublin Fire Brigade shares warning after fighting illegal dumping blaze

Dublin Fire Brigade have issued a stark warning to Dubliners after firefighters tackled an illegal dumping blaze in Coolock on Sunday evening.

An image of the fire shows a 1.25 tonne skip bag of rubbish set alight next to some greenery, with plastic bottles fallen beside the blaze.

A similar incident occurred last week in Clonshaugh, where firefighters battled a large illegal dump fire.

Dublin Fire Brigade issued a warning on social media about illegal waste fires.

¨Firefighters dealing with an illegal waste fire in Coolock this evening.

¨Sadly, we often get called to fires involving domestic waste in green areas.

¨Use only licensed waste collectors to help protect the environment.¨
