Dublin Fire Brigade save the day as balcony BBQ nearly leads to apartment block fire

Dublin Fire Brigade had to come to the rescue as a fire from a BBQ ravaged a balcony in Dublin.

The fire, according to the firefighters, nearly spread to a nearby apartment complex, which could have led to a catastrophic situation for residents.

The images show how the fire melted through the wooden floor of the balcony, before it was eventually extinguished before it spread.

DFB took to Twitter to issue a start reminder of the dangers that balcony BBQs can pose, saying: "Firefighters from Finglas stopped a balcony fire from spreading to an apartment block following a fire started by the use of a BBQ.

"The use of BBQs on balconies is not allowed in many apartment complexes. This is the reason why…."
